In a unexpected crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an unique katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This patch also introduces the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
